Mark 11:24

  • Therefore I say to you,
  • whatever things you ask when you pray,
  • BELIEVE that you will receive them,
  • and you WILL have them.

That still small voice

Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountain and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind, and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire, and after the fire - a still small voice.                                       ( I Kings 19: 11, 12)

A few years ago, one of my sisters gave me a solar-powered chime and it sits in my kitchen by an East window.  Even in the early morning when there is just a small bit of light coming in the window, the chimes begin to make  sweet music.  It seems so faint, but soon as the light becomes stronger the music or the sound of the chimes is beautiful.

This past week I had been quite busy - lots of errands to run, people to see and several visits to the hospital to check on my mother.  My ears had been in a different mode of listening - maybe even in the mode of deafness to some sounds.  Just this morning as I was in the kitchen, the sound of my chimes began ringing and they were so serene and very pleasant to my hearing.  I ask my husband if my chimes had not been working, because I did not think I had heard them all week.  He assured me that they had been ringing all week- just like always.

Yes, I had been tooooo busy to hear those very important blessed sounds  and yet in the past that had been so meaningful to my heart.  The Lord is precious and good every day - givng  undeserved blessings to me again and again.  How I praise Him for HIS LOVING PRESENCE that is constant and never failing.

Maybe you have had a week like mine - full of busy - Let us pray together that we be watchful of His Presence and listen for that “still small voice.”

Thank you for your prayers and be encouraged!!!    your friend, shelba
Well, how could I have missed such sweetness????

“I have begun to give………begin to receive.” Deut. 2:31

Dear Brother Gene,

Thank you for helping me. I receive the money that you send me.  I bought 5 drums diesel so now I can get some water for the kids. And they are very very happy to hear this miracle from the states. Each child send a lot of kisses for everyone who collect this money for them.  They appreciate and pray for those families.  thanks and thanks again. We love you.

May God bless you all.

Yvrose and kids

As we pray for the needs in Haiti - the difficulty for me is the waiting for answers.  My heart is rejoicing for God’s blessings and His Patience is still something I am needing to learn.  God is working in our world and we must continue to focus on Him.

“God, today we lift praise to You!  We pray that you forgive our doubting and inpatient hearts. We will continue to walk this path and excitedly watch You work in Haiti and throughout this world.  Thank you for loving and caring about every part of our lives.  Bless Yvrose and those children - keep them encouraged and may we be obedient to whatever You ask. In Your Precious Name, amen      Your servant, shelba
